Last weeks short runs went well.....I'm ready to start a running routine again.
I got up this morning and went out for a little run. I am trying really hard to take it slow....so this morning I ran 4 - 3 minute segments. That is on week 3 of the 5K training and I'm thinking I'm going to stick with the 3 minute segments this week....probably just increase the amount of times. And I'm hoping next week to jump to 5 minute segments. Increasing my distance a little every day. Hoping to be around 2 - 2.5 miles by the beginning of next week. So far so good.......

Hi Tina. Nice and easy cousin. Don't peak till March. :) Tammy and I are running again. I have vowed to run at Tammy's pace. It is working so far. Ran 5 on Saturday. Ran 4 tonight. What beautiful weather. Walked in the heart walk sunday. Very dissapointed in my fellow runners not to see them at the walk. I raised $300 for the American Heart Association. And I was recognized before the walk. I got a plaque for "lifestyle change award." Tammy nominated me. I had no idea it was coming. But it was pretty cool. Both my kids were there to walk with me and they got to see the presentation. Still looking at flights every once and awhile. Nothing under $200 yet. Did you guys book your room or are you staying at Club Stabler? Oh yea- We are running the Janesville 1/2 in September. Neither of us are training much, so our goal is to finish. We will just have fun with it, if there is such a thing for running that much. Happy running.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you & Tammy are back at running! That's great. And that is SOOOO awesome about the lifestyle change award. Way to go Tammy on nominating Roger! Sorry I missed it..I was in the Dells all weekend. And I'm going to miss the Janesville half too......I'll be in Cincinatti at a tradeshow for work. Darn it!
ReplyDeleteWe have not booked our rooms yet. Amber & I both have Hilton points and are going to book our room after my tradeshow (as I'm staying at a Hilton for that too). We're hoping to stay for free. My job is pretty iffy....so free is good! Happy Running everyone!
I can't wait until Monday when I have a running partner again!
