I had thought about getting up early this morning and going to Milton for the Turkey Trot run. But I woke up at 2:30 am and was up for several hours......so when the clock said 5 am and I was still up.......I decided I wasn't getting up to run early. So I finally fell asleep and woke up around 8:30. I talked Rob into going for a walk with me. We bundled up, put the dogs in the truck and headed to the trails off of Afton Rd. We walked 3 miles. I did a little bit of running with my dogs. Our young lab, Roxy, is pretty energetic. I tried running with her but she pulls so much and crosses over in front of me so much that it is no fun at all. I discoverd today that our 9 year old lab Hannah is a great running partner. She doesn't have to be on a leash and she stays right with me. So her & I ran a little bit. Good exercise for her and me! So I'm thinking I may have found a new running partner when I'm running in the dark. I will need to get her a reflective collar or light.
Thanksgiving dinner is done, dishes all done and I'm not overly stuffed. And most of all......I feel good knowing that I got some activity in today too. Now I'll sit on my butt for awhile and continue to watch the Packers beat the Lions. Then if I can talk Rob into it......I'll put the tree up. We'll see.
Happy Turkey Day!
