Week 2, Day 2......complete

I was a little worried as to whether or not I'd make it through today's walk/run.  I'm sore from all of the moving yesterday.  Maybe girls shouldn't try to move big oak tables, wooden trunks, antique ice chests, etc by themselves....lesson learned.  BUT I did make it through....and without shin splints too!  Tammy gave me a little tip the other day about stretching my calves by standing on the edge of a step.  And that has really helped.  Thanks for the tip!

Tomorrow is the meeting for the Beginner to 5K program/training.  I guess 25 people are signed up.  My friend Amber says she is going with me so it should be fun to have someone to run with at my beginning level.  And I'm looking forward to meeting some new people to run with too!

I'm still trying to figure out if I'm going to be able to make it to Lake Geneva Saturday morning.  I have to be back in Milton by noon.  Will I have enough time Roger?

Have a great day.  Happy Running!!!

  1. You should run in the half with us Tina. If you run with me you will be back by noon easy. Of course, we are spending the night in LG, so it won't matter what time we get done. Well I ran 4 miles on sunday and four again tonight with no pain in my foot or back. Yippie. Can not wait till saturday. Of course, they are calling for rain. Let me see what time the race starts officially Tina. I will let you know. But if it starts at 8, which I think it does, I should be coming in around 10, and Tammy around 10:20. Tammy is still thinking about the tavern about three miles into the race and then catching a ride for the last 10. HA!! We end of in Fontana. Not sure where the finish line is, but I would guess by the beach somewhere.
Have fun at your 5K intro. It will be fun if you make it that. And don't get serious. Those people are no fun. Keep up the great work. No word from Theresa lately. Hope she hasn't fallen into a bottle of wine somewhere. Tina has a new friend in Tammy. She finally r4ead the blogs the other day and was touched by the kind words. I told her you were o.k. Now she believes me. Keep moving cousin.
