Completed week 3, day 1 early this morning. Then I got in the car on my way to Lake Geneva. Rob & I were at the finish line when Roger & Tammy crossed it. How motivating! I can't wait for March!!! Rob says he is going to start running too.....we'll see. That is totally up to him. No pressure from me.
Happy Mother's Day Theresa!
CONGRATS to Roger & Tammy!
Hi everyone. First day after the half. Legs are sore, foot is sore, but damn was it worth it. As I told you Tina, what a rush to get this done. I came in at 1:51:31. Comes out to an average of an 8:30 mile. So I am very happy with that. Tammy came in at 2:04. Thats about a 9:30 mile, which is awesome. Tammy ended up taking 2nd in her age class. Yay Tammy!! I took 5th in my class and 65th overall. There were 261 half runners. So we are both happy with how it all came together. I don't know if I was happier for me when I got done or when I saw Tammy coming down the sidewalk with her big smile. What a great moment. Thanks so much to Tina and Rob for seeing us in. Very cool. And Tammy's dad and his wife also. I have to check with my coaches, but I think we take a couple weeks off and get back into again. We are thinking about the Janesville half at the end of the summer. And the 10k in Milton on the 4th. Keep running everyone.
