Goal this weekend was to run/walk 4 miles. Yesterday the weather was pretty crappy so I decided to wait until today. Today wasn't a ton better.....but at least it wasn't raining.
So I went to the trails off of Afton Road.......set my Garmin for 1 minute run/walk.....32 times. I figured this should get me to 4 miles. I got back to my mile marker at 30 segments instead of 32....so I thought, I hope I hit 4 miles. Well I did. 4.88 miles....with a 5 minute warm up and cool down in there. My calf muscles are a little tight.....but otherwise I feel good. Next weekends goal......5 miles. And I'll probably run 2 or 3 times this week...on my treadmill. Still trying to keep a good relationship with the treadmill for my short runs and do the long runs outside. And on the treadmill I'm going to work on increasing my run time.....more running than walking.
Any luck hunting Amber? Did you get any runs in?

No on both :( I am all geared up for this week. Went to the grocery store, cut up all my veggies. Group power Monday, run tues Thurs and water walking wednesday! Run together on Sunday?-Amber
ReplyDeleteHi guys. Are you doing the jingle bell walk/run this weekend in janesville? we signed up yesterday. Saturday morning at 9:30. Its a fun run for arthritis. Keep up the running. I ran 5 around town last night. Brr.....Went to the club tonight. Much warmer. Flights are dropping in Rockford. Should get to below 200 shortly. Can fly round trip in Jan. for 120. Very tempting for a long weekend.
